FAIYAZ HAIDER
President / Chief Executive Officer
Meet Faiyaz, our trusted President & Chief Executive Officer who has been the beating heart of NetServices since its establishment in 1996. Before pioneering NetServices, Faiyaz was a part of the innovative ecosystem at Vector Research, Inc. (VRI), an Arlington, VA-based research and analysis firm. As a Program Scientist, he provided instrumental expertise to multiple Department of Defense and Civilian agencies, guiding the integration of mission-critical, enterprise-class systems – from foundational infrastructure planning and deployment to core application development.
Beyond VRI, Faiyaz has amassed a rich tapestry of experiences since 1988, his skills and insights extending across a spectrum of government and commercial enterprises, both small and large. A proud alumnus of George Mason University’s School of Management, he brought his academic learnings to life in the ever-evolving technology industry.
Today, while he continues to guide NetServices’ managed growth trajectory and future vision, Faiyaz also commits his time to local philanthropic endeavors and provides strategic analysis and Enterprise Architecture support advice to senior government leaders. With a leadership style steeped in authenticity and foresight, Faiyaz continues to drive NetServices toward a future where technological innovation meets real-world impact.
CHRISTOPHER ASHWORTH
Vice President / Chief Technology Officer
Chris, the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at NetServices, drives the company’s success, steering numerous successful initiatives through his strategic leadership. His journey began with roles as a Director and Cloud Architect, collaborating with DoD and IC agencies, and rapidly grew into an influential position as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Enterprise Cloud Architecture, System Orchestration, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Agile Application Development. Chris’s technical prowess, augmented by his passion for rapid and efficient software delivery using Agile SAFe methodologies, sets him apart as a sought-after expert in the DoD/IC DevOps community. His hallmark is an unswerving commitment to innovation, adeptness, and continuous refinement, always striving to lead IT teams to success in mission-critical systems.
Educationally, Chris has a well-rounded background, with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Mathematics from James Madison University, followed by an M.S. in Computer Science from George Washington University in 2012. His academic achievements extend into professional development, exemplified by the continuous acquisition of technical certifications from prestigious organizations such as Docker, The Linux Foundation, and the DevOps Institute. Chris’s role at NetServices transcends traditional leadership. He’s pivotal in shaping the company’s strategic vision and is hands-on in planning and implementing customer IT services. His approach is multifaceted, seamlessly merging technical expertise with a collaborative spirit, as he works intimately with clients to tailor solutions that precisely meet their needs. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Chris champions technology education, nurturing young talent in the company’s internal R&D/Rapid Application Development (RAD) Lab, and frequently shares his wisdom in seminars, workshops, and technical publications. He extends his influence through his articles in various technical journals and magazines, offering insights and experiences contributing to the industry’s understanding of the dynamic tech landscape.
PETE KEY
Vice President / Chief Service Officer
Pete serves as Vice President and the Chief Service Officer for NetServices, responsible for managing corporate IT, security, and facilities. In addition, Pete leads software development teams on multiple government contracts. Prior to joining the NetServices’ team, Pete was a Senior Director, managing technical teams, and a Senior Software Engineer for an IT consulting firm in Herndon, VA. Pete has experience supporting numerous government agencies throughout the intelligence community. Pete’s expertise is with Big Data tools and appliances, as well as application and back-end (ETL) software development for mission-focused government customers. Pete graduated from Lycoming College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics in 1996 and completed a master’s degree in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University in 2005, with a focus on artificial intelligent algorithms and software design.
JIM LOCKE
Chief Financial Officer
Jim holds the pivotal role of Chief Financial Officer at NetServices, where he diligently orchestrates all financial, contractual, and administrative operations. His unerring focus is optimizing fiscal performance, judiciously safeguarding the organization from potential financial risks. He champions the seamless operation of business processes, meticulously selecting, implementing, and managing cutting-edge back-office systems and technologies. This propels operational efficiency and fosters a conducive environment for the business to thrive. As a strategic partner to the CEO, Jim deploys his financial acumen in providing comprehensive and precise financial forecasts. His keen analytical abilities underpin the creation of robust financial models, empowering informed decisions that align with the company’s strategic vision.
Before joining NetServices, Jim had an illustrious career with diverse yet significant roles. He was a Certified Public Accountant for a globally-renowned Big 4 Accounting Firm, honing his financial skills in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. Later, he lent his expertise to financial consulting focusing on the Sarbanes Oxley Act, enhancing corporate accountability and transparency. Jim‘s journey also includes tenures in senior roles in the Finance team of a large Systems Integrator. He played an instrumental role as a Business Partner, supporting a public sector Senior Vice President and the COO of a billion-dollar contract, navigating complex financial landscapes with precision and tact.
In 1995, Jim graduated from the prestigious University of Notre Dame, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. His academic foundation, coupled with his extensive professional experience, defines his strategic financial leadership at NetServices
SHAWN LUCAS
Vice President of Solutions Architecture
Shawn currently holds the position of Vice President in charge of Solutions Architecture at NetServices. Before becoming an integral part of our team, he devoted 26 years to the U.S. Army. He started his journey as a Field Artillery Officer and later made significant contributions as a Project Manager, Program Analyst, and Program Manager for numerous high-profile acquisition initiatives. He concluded his esteemed military career as a Program Manager and Deputy Director at the NRO Application Service Provider. Following his military career, Shawn transitioned into the private sector, offering his expertise as a Solution Architect at notable firms such as CSRA and GDIT. In these roles, he utilized his in-depth knowledge to craft diverse IT solutions for programs within the Intelligence Community (IC). Shawn holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and enhanced his credentials by earning a Master’s degree in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech in 2017. He is also certified in multiple technical and managerial areas, including PMP, ITIL4, Scrum Master, and Security+.
